Book Fair 2018
‘Beast from the East’ fails to deter Bawdrip book lovers.
Despite the snow blanketing Bawdrip for the second time in a month, a good number of hardy villagers donned wellies and woolly jumpers to attend the annual book fair held in the Parish Hall on Sunday March 18th. Tables had been laid out with novels, non-fiction and children’s books, all invitingly displayed, and there was as usual a tempting array of cakes and hot drinks to keep out the winter chill, and a raffle of donated prizes to boost funds.
Richard was particularly pleased to win a book: ‘Knit Your Own Royal Wedding’ in the raffle – we look forward to seeing the results!
Thanks to all who donated books and raffle prizes, made cakes and helped to set up and clear away afterwards – we raised £80 to go towards the running costs of the church here in Bawdrip.
