welcomes you

New quiz Champions!

Well Richard and Jan have certainly worked hard on this year’s quiz. 10 hotly contested rounds of questions ranging from General knowledge through to British Prime Ministers and much in between as well as a music round and a bonus round – so good they named it twice!  And of course there was also the difficult decision of which round to play the Joker on to double your score….well I have to say that we called that one right, played it on the first round and score a remarkable 20/10 ! I thought that would be the high point of the evening for us but in a hard fought campaign we managed to hang on to our early lead and going in to the final rounds it was neck and neck, all teams bunched closely together.

At the final count we had managed to hold on to first place which felt a great achievement!

Thank you to all who came along on the night and helped make up the different teams.  It is always impressive watching as people empty out the picnic hampers and the tables fill up with delicious food and drink.  All of which helps the evening go well. Many thanks to Quizmaster General Richard and glamorous assistant Jan for organising and to all who supported it – thanks to your raffle contributions and tickets we raised over £110 to go towards the running costs of the church here in Bawdrip.  And finally, did you know that a loblolly boy was an assistant to the ship’s surgeon? Brain cells can now be cooled down until next time! Oh and in case you were wondering, yes that is the sought after Bawdrip Quiz trophy, back for it’s third year and suitable blinged up—now with pom-pom

quiz 2017s!
